Methodology
Statistics are computed from two data pools: 5900+ inventory products (pricing, margins, competition, viral scores, sales volume) and ~200 curated products (shipping, demographics, marketing channels, TikTok performance, competitor pricing).
Profitability index scores each category 0-100 using margin potential (40%), sales velocity (40%), and inverse market saturation (20%). Margins use a dynamic markup model: 4x for products under $10, scaling to 2.2x for products over $100.
Competition is measured by average review count as a proxy for seller saturation. Growth rates require a minimum of 3 products per niche. All data is updated periodically as new products are added to the database.
